Poor me Rich me!
Poor life, rich life it is all up to you. The next time you think to yourself I CAN"T pinch yourself then think of course I CAN. The next time you think WHY ME ask yourself WHY NOT ME. When you feel like quitting, know that WE ALL FEEL LIKE QUITTING. Your not alone on that notion. I can't make friends, I can't go to the party/dinner, well let me tell you that you can't afford not to go. It all goes back to being grateful for where you are and knowing that you have all the tools you need to fix your life.
The result of quitting is ZERO, try quitting on your exercise and you will be -0. You muscles will begin to atrophy, you will feel lethargic, you will get sick, depression will set in and your would will shrink forcing you to retreat into your dark place.
Exercise when you don't feel like it. Do it first thing in the morning, get out of bed, shoes on and out the door. When you start your body in motion your body thanks you by allowing you have fun when you go out to the beach, go out with the kids to the park, play basket with your friends.
You will have a spring in your step and a song in your heart and your heart will thank you too.
Start slow at 10 minutes per day, park in the furthest parking spot when you are out shopping, allow yourself to walk up stairs instead of taking the elevator, take the dog to the dog park and join a low impact work- out group or join a walking club "there are many in every area". Exercise four times a week for twenty to thirty minutes .
Socialization is needed not wanted. Get out of yourself for a minute. You must make yourself meet friends for lunch, go to a birthday party, church event or work party. It doesn't hurt with the holidays coming up to get in the habit of just saying YES. Get it out fast! YES I will go is the answer it is always a YES! A few months ago my mother in law passed away and I was worried that my father in law wouldn't get out and would be depressed. The first thing I told him is the life doesn't ever start when you are sitting inside of those walls, life begins when you take the first step out of the FRONT DOOR. STEP wide and long.
Let your thoughts be helpful. The time to think that you can is now. It is so hard to exercise, I don't have time. "Get out that damned house and walk. I may not feel like doing my laundry but I will do it because I will feel better when I have clean clothes to choose from. I don't feel like going to work but my family depends on me and I will be happy when I can take care of them. I may not see the need to meet up with that old friend, geese you tell yourself, " I lived without seeing them for this long". I am too, fat, too old too short, too tall, to boring. Nope, Nope, Nope you are just like the rest of us. Your are perfect and good to go just as you are. Decide WHO YOUR ARE AND WHO YOU WANT TO BE.
Lastly you ask yourself WHY ME?? BECAUSE problems makes you appreciative, they let you work towards a goal and feel whole and complete when you accomplish it. What ever doesn't kill me makes me stronger, you know that song? Inner strength gives you outer strength and visa versa It make you Appreciative and Grateful! And Gratefulness/Gratitude is where we all need to live. Problems are just a symptom that you need to turn your attention to a certain area, and when your do your world will open up and you will be happy, prosperous and fulfilled.
